Charitable Donation

A portion of the proceeds of the Cattail Creek Tennis Classic will be donated to the Claudia Mayer Cancer and Resource Center.

Format

Matches will be two tiebreak sets with a deciding match tiebreak in lieu of a third set.

 

Balls

Wilson balls will be used.

Dates

Thursday, September 20 through Sunday, September 23, 2012.

 

Cost

$55 per singles event, $45 per doubles event. Cost of first event includes entrance to the Saturday evening Cocktail Party.

Eligibility

Open to all tennis players with a USTA, NTRP or approved club rating.

 

Entry Procedures

Online registration will be open via the Cattail Creek website between July 24 and September 16, 2012.
 

Divisions

Mens and Womens, Singles and Doubles: 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 (must play at rating or above)
Mixed Doubles: 6.0, 6.5, 7.0, 7.5, 8.0, 8.5 (no more than one point spread)
Combo: 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5 (no more than one point spread)

Awards

Prizes will be awarded to the winner(s) of each division.

 

Starting Times

Starting times and draws will be listed on the Cattail Creek website on Monday, September 17.  All participants must check in 30 minutes prior to the start of their match on each day.

 

Rules of Play

The USTA Rules apply. All questions on rules will be decided by the Tournament Director, Joe Mattingly.

Dress Code

Suitable attire is required for all participants and spectators. Tennis "whites" are not required. Absolutely no denim, cargo shorts, tank tops, or cutoffs will be allowed on the courts.

  

Food

Lunch, beverages and snacks may be purchased at the Pool Cafe with cash or via reciprocal charges to a home club.
